I offer a wide variety of classes from ballet, tap, modern and freestyle dance for children age 2+ and fitness classes including aerobics, step, salsa & jive workouts and Pilates for adults.

Baby Ballet and Tap Classes           

My classes are an enjoyable introduction to dance for children from about 2 years. Most classes are a mixture of ballet and tap. The classes are relaxed and fun so the children learn basic dance skills while enjoying themselves as well as making new friends, improving co-ordination and spatial awareness. The children can wear any clothes they can move freely in – any dressing up/ ballet/fairy costumes are ideal but not essential. Girls and boys are welcome at all classes and free trial classes are available (1 per customer only). Classes run in school term time only. Parents are welcome to stay for all pre-school classes and I put on small end of year shows to help the children feel like real dancers.

Ballet and Tap Classes (School age children)

I have ballet, tap modern and freestyle classes for children age 4-18. Children take NATD dance exams when they are ready to progress and there is an annual show for the children to perform some of the routines they have learned throughout the year. My uniform is a burgundy leotard and skirt with tap and ballet shoes.

Fitness Classes

These classes are low impact and easy on the joints. There is a cardio component i.e. raising your heart rate and improving your stamina, a strength component and a stretch and relaxation section. 

Ideal for burning calories, toning up and improving fitness. Suitable for people new to exercise and older adults. Classes include aerobics, salsacise, jiveacise, body conditioning and Fitness Pilates.

Pilates is mainly floor based workout its one of the forms of exercise that helps to tone the whole body focusing on the stomach and other postural muscles

About Me

Lesley Taylor has been involved in the dance, health and fitness industry for over 20 years. Teaching since 1994 and running her own dance school since 1995. She studied at The Mersey Side Dance and Drama Centre, Preston College, The Richmond School of Dance, and with ex-president of the N.A.T.D., Yvonne Gilmore.

Her dance & fitness qualifications include N.A.T.D. Fellowship ballet, Licentiate modern and tap and Associate I.S.T.D. ballet and national, YMCA (RSA) exercise to music, NVQ pre & post natal exercise, nutrition & weight management, Fitness Pilates and is an “I move freely” bio-mechanics coach. She has a First Aid certificate, is DBS checked, and is a member of the Guild of Professional Teachers of Dancing.
